County District #1 - Fees and Charges |
| The
following charges are made, in addition to Building Permits: |

This information is for your quick reference regarding charges by the MUD
for Water, Sewer and Garbage collection: |
| 1. |
When a change in ownership of a property
occurs, the NEW OWNER is charged a $100.00 non-refundable connection fee.

| 2. |
Water Meters are read quarterly. For the
first two months of each quarter water is billed at a minimum rate of $33.75
per month. During the third month of each quarter, meters are read and water
is billed at a rate of $1.50 per 1,000 gallons in excess of 9,000 gallons
for the quarter. |
| 3. |
Every home with a Water Meter is charged
$33.75 per month for water unless the house has been placed on an inactive
status. |
| 4. |
Every home with a Water Meter is charged
$18.25 per month for Garbage Collection unless the house has been placed on
an inactive status. The garbage fees are billed monthly in advance. |
| 5. |
Garbage is picked up each Tuesday morning.
The dumpsters located at the Fire Station may also be used for ordinary
household trash. This is convenient for those who will not be home on
Tuesday when garbage is picked up in front of your house. |
| 6. |
The monthly charge for Sewer Service
is $46.40. There is no inactive status for sewer service. The consumer will
be billed the regular monthly rate.

| 7. |
For all Water and Sewer emergencies
call the MUD office (830) 598-5460 during regular office hours. After hours
and on weekend's call the City of Horseshoe Bay at (830) 598-8741 and their maintenance
personnel will respond.

| Payment for all
services is due by the 15th of each month, any bill not paid by the 16th
will be assessed a late charge of $5.00. An account that is 45 days
delinquent will be subject to the discontinuance of service. If service is
terminated it may be reinstated only upon payment of the account in full
along with a $150.00 disconnect/reconnect fee. Any account that becomes over
90-days delinquent will be turned over to Small Claims Court for collection.
A $150.00 deposit is required on all residential units except owner occupied
units (rental units) and delinquent owner occupied units if service is
discontinued twice in any twelve-month period for non-payment of billings.
The District may increase the amount of deposit if deemed necessary. |
